Day 7: Adlestrop

Quote
The wisdom acquired with the passage of time is a useless gift unless you share it.  Esther Williams

Bible Verse
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.  Proverbs 4:18

Inspiration

Poem
Adlestrop by Edward Thomas

Yes.  I remember Adlestrop—
The name, because one afternoon
Of heat the express-train drew up there
Unwontedly.  It was late June.

The steam hissed.  Someone cleared his throat.
No one left and no one came
On the bare platform. What I saw
Was Adlestrop—only the name

And willows, willow-herb, and grass,
And meadowsweet, and haycocks dry,
No whit less still and lonely fair
Than the high cloudlets in the sky.

And for that minute a blackbird sang
Close by, and round him, mistier,
Farther and farther, all the birds
Of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

Journaling
In what situations do you share the wisdom you have acquired through your life experience?
Is there anywhere that when it is mentioned you immediately recall the time you visited it?  What was special about that occasion?

Technique Challenge
Add flowers to your page.  You could draw them, stamp them, cut them out of magazines and collage them.

Today's PDF can be downloaded here.

Please share your page or blog post using the linky.  It is so encouraging for all of us to see what other people to with the prompts and the techniques.
